The Internet Playbook

The advice, in the order you would actually use it.

We read the guides, the carousels and the research behind the recommendations that keep coming round, then organised them into a sequence: what to decide first, what to build next, and what to observe once you begin. Every chapter marks what is established and what is still uncertain.

So you can start without first working out who to believe.

Why this book exists

Most Instagram advice leaves out the condition.

Post more. Improve your quality. Use stronger hooks. Study your numbers.

The missing questions are usually the useful ones.

For whom? At what stage? Measured how?

Advice written for an established account can be impossible to apply with no audience. A post that did well suggests something worth trying without showing why it worked. And a production problem needs a different answer from an unclear promise or a broken route to your offer.

The Playbook puts those conditions back, then gives you the next step.

What you get

A sequence you can follow. Work you can finish.

How every chapter works

Three questions, eight times

i

What will you be told?

The advice as it circulates, presented fairly.

ii

What is actually established?

The platform guidance, the research and the limits behind it. Where the evidence is thin, the chapter says so in its first three lines rather than in a footnote.

iii

What can you do in the meantime?

A decision, an exercise, and something useful to finish.

You do not need certainty about the algorithm to make your profile clearer, deliver what your opening promises, or check that a reader can reach your offer.

Inside the Playbook

Eight chapters

The checking behind it

A source, a date, and a limit

Chapter 7 draws on Instagram's own definition panels, inspected on a live account on 27–29 September 2026. On the account checked:

Dated observations with their scope stated — not claims about every account. They tell you what you are recording and what it can support. The sources list applies the same standard to everything else, separating originals read from material that could not be checked directly.

What this book will not do

The refusals are the point

Who it is for

You can begin with what you have

You can work through all of it with no audience, no product, no testimonials and no email list. It is also for people already posting who want a clearer line between their content, their reader and their next action.

Resell rights

Use it yourself, and sell it onward

Master resell rights come with every copy, under the accompanying licence. You get two editions: the one you are reading, and a white‑label edition with nothing of ours on it. That one is editable, so rebranding it is a real job you can actually do rather than a permission you cannot use — and because the text was written brand‑free on purpose, it is not a cut‑down version. It is the same book with our cover taken off.

One condition: the claim labels stay.

An unproven recommendation stays labelled unproven. You may put your name on it, change the cover, and set your own price. The distinction between evidence and advice is part of what you are buying, and part of what you pass on.

We sell it at USD 49, and we expect you to hold near it. That is an expectation, not a term — the licence sets no minimum price and takes no royalty, because a licence should not pretend to a power it does not have. Undercutting it breaches nothing. It is just that a book about refusing to inflate claims is worth less to everyone, you included, once it circulates as a $7 bundle filler.

Not included in the licence: our own branded edition, which is yours to read but not to resell, and the research corpus, the claim register and the findings from the ninety‑day experiment.

There is no earnings promise attached to these rights. Your sales depend on your own offer and how you take it to market — the right is real; the income is yours to find out. The full licence comes with the book and sets out exactly what you may and may not do with it.

The Internet Playbook

Not yet on sale

Digital download, readable on a phone. Eight chapters, worked examples, copyable worksheets, a pre‑publish checklist, a first‑month plan, and resell rights under the included licence.

The book is finished. The shop is not. Checkout opens once the trading licence is issued, and this page changes the day it does — no mailing list, no waitlist, nothing to sign up for. The Claim Register is free to read in the meantime.

No countdown on this page and no launch window. Chapter 6 explains why a deadline that is not real is a problem rather than a tactic, and it would be a strange book to sell with one.

What happens next

The Playbook and the experiment are separate pieces of work

From 26 October 2026, TF.E runs a ninety‑day public experiment on a new Instagram account. The comparisons and the decision rules are recorded before testing begins, and the findings will be published with their limits, including the ones that come back inconclusive.

This Playbook brings together existing advice, research and practical workflow. The experiment will report what happened in one account under the conditions tested. The Playbook stands on its own, and the later findings are not part of this purchase.
